Rewind back to 2002. We were playing around and experimenting with Vaz Modular live improv, random post processing, glitches and TTS generators. We made this 4-track EP called Sunet², which we never thought it's worth releasing. However, 16 years later, a friend of ours recently developed a strange fetish for failed "songs", turned it into a label (!), and asked us to dig in our old dusty crates. He chose 2 of the 4 tracks for his second release.

Here's the full length EP. The release date is fictive, we used capaz de fazer’s date from the future. The third track is not about the devil, the devil doesn't exist. Please don't enjoy this!

¿liveD / NETDI:

2018, capaz de fazer [CZFZ-02]

We had to dig deep in the bento box (circa 16 years deep, more precisely) to find these two special makizushis. As opposed to the duo's trademark meticulous approach, '¿liveD' is an exercise in extreme modulation with a heavy presence of uncontrolled flux.
Its counterpart 'NETDI' takes on a more fixed form of randomness via text-to-speech, and may be read as follows:

"These two tracks could easily have been the soundtrack for an episode of The Jetsons as directed by David Lynch. Here is the rosy cheek of the future that we once imagined showing itself – and it’s blistered by a scorching sun, it’s been slapped one time too many. The future that has come brought its own forms of misery and ennui, whose contours the people behind these tracks took the trouble to delineate. One of the tracks even sports a voice (slightly reminding one of old BOC tracks) that sounds like a Number Station on meth. Obviously, it has pleased me a lot, making me laugh and cringe in turns."
